Cute Skies - Nail Art Tutorial

Today I did a cute sky design on my nails – I think they are so adorable. Did the gradient with acrylic paint instead of polish and found that they blend so much better than the polish! YAY! :)

How to:
  1. Base coat
  2. Paint your nails a solid white with polish
  3. Paint two shades of blue (dark and light) on a make-up sponge and press it onto the nail until you get the right blend
  4. Paint your nails with a thin layer of top coat
  5. Make the small skies with your white polish and a dotting tool
  6. Finish with top coat, and then you’re done

Snow Leopard Nail Art Design - How to

Hey guys

So today I made this cute and simple snow leopard nail design. I like it because I can wear it with almost everything. I chose an accent glitter nail for something extra. Do you ever wear leopard print?

There are not many steps to this nail art design, but here goes:

Snow leopard design:

  1. Paint all your nails white – except for the ring finger, if you want the glitter like me
  2. Then use a metallic silver to make some random dots on the white nails
  3. With a small dotting tool or a toothpick, make C-shapes around the silver dots – with a black paint or polish
  4. When that’s done fill in the white space with random lines and dots
Accent glitter nail:
  1. Start with 2 coats of the metallic silver
  2. Dot on some chunky silver
  3. Finish with a top coat – and you’re done :)

White Stripes - Nail Art

Hey guys

A couple of days back I played with my striping tape, and tried to do some random stripes on my nails. I quite like the results - what do you think?

I have seen something similar to this on instagram and it was really easy to do. Yeah, it takes time to cut and line the tape on the nails, but there is only that one step, so a little patience will go a long way :)

The design broken into steps:

  1. Begin with a base coat - I gave my nails 2 coats,
  2. cut and line the tape on your nails
  3. paint with a white polish over the tape
  4. peel of the tape
  5. Finish with a top coat to protect the design from chipping.

Easy How to Easter Nail Art Design Tutorial

Hey Guys :)

Today I finally did my Easter inspired nail art design. I took a couple of tries, but it looks sooo cute and I think it is absolutely adorable!

What do you think?

So I did this with nail polish, Scotch tape and a dotting tool. It is quite easy and there are not too many steps, but there is a lot of drying time, so you need to do it when you have time for it :)

I don’t know how to explain how I cut the tape, so I won’t write the tutorial today, but you can see the whole design in the video below – it is so much easier to show you how I did

Girly Dots and a Bow Nails

Hey Guys :)

So today I made this cute and simple mani with dots and a bow. I think the finished look is super girly and I love it. It would look super cute on a summer day with a cute dress.

I was inspired by Minnie mouse and the colors I got from OPI a week ago.

What do you guys think?

For this look I used:

White from flormar
Black from ciaté
Bubblegum pink from OPI – Chic from ears to tail
Red from OPI – Innie Minnie Mightie Bow
Base coat from Sally Hansen
Top coat from OPI

I really like the OPI colors, but had to paint my nails with three layers before the bubblegum-pink fro OPI was opaque.

Leopard Print Nail Art

Hey guys!

Today I tried the leopard print for the first time. It was soo easy to do but looks like it took forever!

Here is the result:

For this look, I used two shades of brown, a black polish and my new dotting tools (YAY). My base color is not the best match, so next time I will try another brown for the base, but I am pretty satisfied with the finished look anyway.

Coloring nails with tape - Color blocking - a tutorial

Hey guys!!

A couple of days ago I bought some Scotch tape because I wanted to try color blocking on my nails. Apparently the Scotch tape is the one that works the best (I saw some youtube videos on this subject)

So here is the result – let me know what you think of it?

Tutorial on how I did these:

1.   Apply your base coat - to prevent stains on the nails
2.   Paint your nails your chosen base color and let it dry completely – mine was white
3.   Stick a piece of tape on your nails and paint the rest of your nail with color number 2 (mine was a minty green). Now let that dry before you move on
4.   Take another piece of tape and stick that onto your nail in another direction than the first strip and paint you nail the third color (mine was black)
5.   Now let it dry and then finish with a top coat to seal the design
