Easy nail design with the Chanel logo

Hi :)

A couple of days ago I made a design with the Chanel logo

I made the decal with my silhouette cameo cutting machine, so it was made in 3 sec. If you don't have a cutting machine, lots of people sell decals with the logo :)

Romantic vintage looking rose and gold nails

So yesterday I made a beautiful mani I wanted to share with you :)

I was at a beer tasting event yeaterday evening, and had to have pretty nails for the ocasion.

These are made with a white polish from Essie (blanc) and acrylic paint for the roses. The roses are easier to make with paint, since they blend better together.

Let me know what you think of it :)

Simple and easy design - really pretty

The design is made by painting my nails black, and then simply using some regular tape to create the triangles.

Pretty and random Nail art design - reminds me of mosaic

Hi everybody.

Today I made a fun and cute design with a minty green color that I borrowed from a dear friend of mine. I love the minty green color and I will need to get one of my own.

The brand itself is not that expensive, which is good ;)
- However, it was only opaque after 3 coats on top of 2 coats of white - so a thin nail polish.

So yeah..

The minty green is the one I hold on the picture, from Rosie & Roses
The purple is from Rimmel
and the black is acrylic paint
The golden nail is covered in gold leaf - which was fun to play with :)

Here is how I did the mosaic-look :)

Dotticure with neon colors - beginner nail art

It is summer!! Ahh - how wonderful

Summer is warm and lovely and it is time for beautiful colors.

this design is sooo simple and easy to create, and I think it is beautiful on my nails. I used 3 neon colors from OPI's Neon revolution and the colors truely pop when they are painted on a white base. I love the neon trend, so a little neon mani is a must! :)

My camera doesn't really catch the bright neon, which is a shame, but they are truely lovely and eye-catching.

Here is my tutorial on the design :)

Purple Polka-dot Nail Art Design

Here a little summer for you! :)

I did this sweet design a couple of days back and loved it. It is super summery and girly, and just a cute little design that goes with so many summer dresses.

I have searched for a lillac color for some weeks, and finally found one by rimmel, that was cheap and the right shade. I really like the pastel looking purple on my nails. so YAY! :)

I kinda broke my ringfinger nail, and now they are all pretty much down to my nubs, so I look forward to long nails again - bye bye beautiful long nails.

Anyways..
used the purple you see in the picture, a no-name white and the yellow is from color show by Maybeline in the color electric yellow :)

Please let me know your thoughts on this design :)

Golden Nail Stickers from H&M

Today I am wearing some nail stickers I bought yesterday from H&M.

I love how golden they are and they are sooo shiny :) - which is just wonderful!

These nail stickers were a little hard to place on to the nails. I found it a little difficult to smooth the decals out, so that they didn't have any wrinkles or craks, but I think that the result is really beatiful!

I started out with a layer of base coat, then applied the nail sticker decals and finished of with my top coat. It is an easy way to do a beautiful manicure. Go try it out, if you haven't yet!

So yeah! Let me know what you think of it :)

Ocean blue gradient nails with glitter

Another gradient for you :)

I love these manis, because they look like it took forever to do and yet they are so simple to do. Now I have spiced this one up with some blue glitter at the bottem of my nail, which took time, but the gradient didn't.

Let me know what you think of it?

The polishes used in this nail art design are:

  1. Gosh: 597 - Miss Minty
  2. maybeline: Cool Blue
  3. Maybeline: Ocean Blue
  4. Hot Makeup: Stars and dots (the blue glitter)
  5. Silver glitter from H&M, no name
I also did a video for this look - well almost this look. I only did the blue glitter on the ring finger and the silver on the rest :) But here you can see how I did it.

Fire Gradient Nails

Today I have made a warm gradient look on my nails. I have had some difficulties in learning how to do a beautiful gradient, but think that I have finally nailed it ;)

This look is made with four different colored nail polishes, a white one and a make-up sponge, topped off with a gold glitter, to give it some sprakle. I love the look of it, and think I will wear it often this summer. It reminds me of the sun and fire :)

The colors i have used are:

The red polish: OPI's Red hot Rio
The orange: Sweet Orange by Laura Clauvi
The darkest yellow: Electric yellow by Maybeline
Light yellow: OPI's Can't cope-acabana

So here is another summery look for your nails - Daisies :)

I just love the look of the daisies and tried to do them on my nails, and they came out so beautiful. For this look I used OPI's Can't cope-acabana, which is the lovely yellow. The flowers are made with acrylic paint

Here is the tutorial on how I did it:
  1. Paint your nails a solid yellow
  2. mark the center of the daisy
  3. Paint the petals with a black paint
  4. Fill the petals with a white paint
  5. and that's it :)

Beautiful flowers - water decals. Print at home

Hey guys

Now I have applied the decals, so you can see them in action. You can find the template or them in the bottom of this post.

This time I have made two different ones. One with color and one without, so you have the option of coloring the flowers in your chosen polish - or simple just to do a one-color thing :)

So I started with a white base color and then transferred the decals with colors. Love them and their summery-feel :)

here are the decals for you. Just click the picture and then save-as.

Decal preview - flowers :)

Hi guys :)

Summer spring nails with flowers

Yesterday evening I made these summery-looking nails.

However, they kinda turned out looking like a kid on 5 did them - can't figure out whether that cute, or just a re-do. What do you think?

They are made with a beautiful blue from maybeline, though. And their polishes are not that expensive, which is wonderful.

Very simple and cute looking, and reminds me of summer :)

Summer sunflowers - tutorial

Hey guys :)

Yesterday I tried the popular sunflower mani that is spreading on the social media. The look is so fun and summery.

This is the final look I got - and I was quite happy with it

For this blog post I did a picture on the different steps I took to make the look - I hope this is helpful
You can do the flowers in many different ways, as you see I did on my nails.

Tutorial:
  1. Paint your nails a light blue for the base color
  2. make a simple gradient with a make-up sponge with a darker blue
  3. Use a small brush and a yellow to make the base of the sunflowers
  4. paint the center of the flower with a brown nail polish
  5. blend in some black and a dark red to give some more definition
  6. Add some orange strokes to the flower petals
  7. And you are done - finish with a top coat to protect the design and make your mani last longer

Simple lace design - nails

Hey guys :)

Today I made this cute and simple lace design. I think it would be so pretty for the wedding season and the confirmations at this time of year.

What I did was a normal French manicure with white tips. I then made small white dots underneath the tips on all nails, but the thumb. On the thumb a hand-painted the lace, by making three half circles and then three bigger half circles. Finish it of with small dots under the half circles.

Eurovision 2014 - easy and simple nails

Hey guys

Yesterday I saw the popular show; Eurovision with more than 170 mill. Viewers worldwide and to celebrate I painted my nails with some basic music notes, a flag and a heart. Being from Denmark the flag was the Danish, of course :)
 - we placed as number 9, so that was okay :)

I started with a white base color on all nails. Then with striping tape and black paint, I created the lines. Thereafter, I used a dotting tool and a thin brush for the notes. The flag was also created with striping tape and a red polish, from OPI – red hot Rio, which was the same color I used for the heart. I cut the heart from regular tape and placed it over my thumb and traced the heart with black paint using a thin brush

I watched the show with my boyfriend, good food and wine.
How did you celebrate?

OPI - Don't bossa nova me around (the base color)
OPI - Live.Love.Carneval
OPI - Red hot Rio

I painted my nails with two coats of the nude color and one coat of the others. Then finish of with my lovely Rapid dry top coat, also from OPI.

Snow Leopard Nail Art Design - How to

Hey guys

So today I made this cute and simple snow leopard nail design. I like it because I can wear it with almost everything. I chose an accent glitter nail for something extra. Do you ever wear leopard print?

There are not many steps to this nail art design, but here goes:

Snow leopard design:

  1. Paint all your nails white – except for the ring finger, if you want the glitter like me
  2. Then use a metallic silver to make some random dots on the white nails
  3. With a small dotting tool or a toothpick, make C-shapes around the silver dots – with a black paint or polish
  4. When that’s done fill in the white space with random lines and dots
Accent glitter nail:
  1. Start with 2 coats of the metallic silver
  2. Dot on some chunky silver
  3. Finish with a top coat – and you’re done :)

White Stripes - Nail Art

Hey guys

A couple of days back I played with my striping tape, and tried to do some random stripes on my nails. I quite like the results - what do you think?

I have seen something similar to this on instagram and it was really easy to do. Yeah, it takes time to cut and line the tape on the nails, but there is only that one step, so a little patience will go a long way :)

The design broken into steps:

  1. Begin with a base coat - I gave my nails 2 coats,
  2. cut and line the tape on your nails
  3. paint with a white polish over the tape
  4. peel of the tape
  5. Finish with a top coat to protect the design from chipping.

Easy How to Easter Nail Art Design Tutorial

Hey Guys :)

Today I finally did my Easter inspired nail art design. I took a couple of tries, but it looks sooo cute and I think it is absolutely adorable!

What do you think?

So I did this with nail polish, Scotch tape and a dotting tool. It is quite easy and there are not too many steps, but there is a lot of drying time, so you need to do it when you have time for it :)

I don’t know how to explain how I cut the tape, so I won’t write the tutorial today, but you can see the whole design in the video below – it is so much easier to show you how I did

Girly Dots and a Bow Nails

Hey Guys :)

So today I made this cute and simple mani with dots and a bow. I think the finished look is super girly and I love it. It would look super cute on a summer day with a cute dress.

I was inspired by Minnie mouse and the colors I got from OPI a week ago.

What do you guys think?

For this look I used:

White from flormar
Black from ciaté
Bubblegum pink from OPI – Chic from ears to tail
Red from OPI – Innie Minnie Mightie Bow
Base coat from Sally Hansen
Top coat from OPI

I really like the OPI colors, but had to paint my nails with three layers before the bubblegum-pink fro OPI was opaque.

Leopard Print Nail Art

Hey guys!

Today I tried the leopard print for the first time. It was soo easy to do but looks like it took forever!

Here is the result:

For this look, I used two shades of brown, a black polish and my new dotting tools (YAY). My base color is not the best match, so next time I will try another brown for the base, but I am pretty satisfied with the finished look anyway.

Coloring nails with tape - Color blocking - a tutorial

Hey guys!!

A couple of days ago I bought some Scotch tape because I wanted to try color blocking on my nails. Apparently the Scotch tape is the one that works the best (I saw some youtube videos on this subject)

So here is the result – let me know what you think of it?

Tutorial on how I did these:

1.   Apply your base coat - to prevent stains on the nails
2.   Paint your nails your chosen base color and let it dry completely – mine was white
3.   Stick a piece of tape on your nails and paint the rest of your nail with color number 2 (mine was a minty green). Now let that dry before you move on
4.   Take another piece of tape and stick that onto your nail in another direction than the first strip and paint you nail the third color (mine was black)
5.   Now let it dry and then finish with a top coat to seal the design

New Nail Polish! :)

Hey guys!

I have finally purchased my first OPI nail polishes, and I absolutely adore them. I bought a set of 4 mini’s in red shades called: Couture de Minnie – Runway Minnies.

The four shades are called:

·           A definite Moust-have
·         Magazine Cover Mouse
·         Chic From Ears to Tail
·         Innie Minnie Mightie Bow

Until now I have only tried on one of them – Magazine Cover Mouse. It is one with liquid sand and I love the texture of it. I have warn it for three days now, and there is minimum chipping.

I love them sooo much and look forward to trying the other colors!!

Have you tried any of them?

Cute Nautical Themed Nail Art

Hi guys :)

So today, I tried to do a nautical themed nail art design. It took me FOREVER to do the stripes and I made many mistakes.

First, I tried with tape, then a handmade brush but it just kept looking awful – like drawn by a 5 year old.

Then finally I tried a Posca pen, and it kind of worked - Much easier to handle and draw straight lines with, but I still need a lot of practice.

The thumb and ring finger is decorated with some decals that I made earlier today. I alternated some free Photoshop brushes that I found here. I think that they are sooo cute.

Maybe next time I should do the whole mani with decals ..

For this design I used:
  • Base coat & White nail polish from Depend
  • Metallic red polish - H&M
  • Blue posca pen
  • Top coat from maxfactor - glossfinity
  • and home made water decals

Butterfly Wing Nail Art Tutorial - Using Homemade Water Decals

Hi everybody

Today I have been working on a butterfly wing design, which I would like to share with you.

I know that I'm not the first to make a nail-art design of the wings, but think that it is soooo pretty, and I wanted to do a design that would make the process less complicated.
You can find the print out in the bottom of this post.

Youtube tutorial on the design: Here

I decided to paint my nails in hot pink and I think it turned out so pretty and spring-like, perfect for the first days of spring – which will soon be here, hopefully.

Making the butterflies:

1.     Always start out with a layer of base coat to protect your natural nails.
2.     Select your base color – I chose pink, but I also think that a minty green or other pastels would be so beautiful with this design
3.     Now cut out the decals to fit your nails (if you haven’t seen the post about how to prepare the decals, that would be a good idea to read as well.)
4.     Soak them in water for about 20 sec.
5.     Place them on the fingers and dry them with a cotton ball or some paper towel.
6.     Use a dotting tool to make the white spots in the black area. If you don’t have a dotting tool you can use a toothpick or a bobby pin
7.     Finish with a layer of fast drying topcoat to prevent your design from chipping

And then you’re done!

Easy How to Chevron Nail art with Homemade Water Decals

Hi everbody :)

So today we are going to do a Chevron nail art design with water decals.

I think the chevron design is SO beautiful, but so difficult to do with a striper. So I made the design on my computer, bought some clear water slide decal paper from ebay and that made it so much easier to do and very beautiful.

The tutorial is also on Youtube - for easy follow:

Tutorial on how to do this design:

Getting the designs ready for the nails.

  1. Buy decal paper online or local store
  2. Download the file I've put on here - and print it on normal paper first to check if the size fits your nails.
  3. Then print the design on the decal paper
  4. Cover the designs with clear nail polish and let it dry- IMPORTANT
Creating the design:
  1. Apply a base coat to protect the natural nail.
  2. Apply your base color - I chose a dark grey/ blue-ish color on mine and a silver metallic color for the ring finger. Let them dry completely.
  3. Soak the decals in water for 20-30 sec
  4. Slide them of the paper with your fingers
  5. Place a drop of water on the nails, you want to place the decal on - this makes it easier to navigate it on to the right place.
  6. Use a cotton ball to dry the decal, once it's where you want it to be - and let it dry.
  7. Place a drop of top coat onto your pinky and pointer and place a rhinestone on top
  8. Apply a quick drying top coat to seal in the design

And you're done :)

The design is for personal use only. A4
